The Vampire Lestat was published in 1985, followed by The Queen Of The Damned and The Tale Of The Body Thief. Rice ended up writing ten novels in The Vampire Chronicles. She wrote five more erotic novels under two different pen names named The Claiming Of Sleeping Beauty, Sleeping Beauty’s Punishment, Beauty’s Release, Exit To Eden and Belinda. Rice went on to write two historical novels titled The Feast Of All Saints and Cry To Heaven.
